Pacific Poker is the new Multiplayer Poker room from Casino On Net. Casino On Net is by far the most famous online casino and
one of the oldest ones. Of course Pacific Poker had to follow the paths of its big brother and quickly became one of the top
Poker destinations for players around the world.
Their website is very basic, but easy to navigate and fuctional. You can find the important information fast: There is a %50 initial
deposit bonus of up to $100. The bonus amount needs to be wagered 20 times before a cashout is possible
($50 Bonus must be wagered in a total amount equaling no less than $1,000).
There is both Download and No Download versions available. The No Download poker is Java based and it was
pretty fast to play and to get inside the tables. The Download version was also very fast to install and get started.
In both options you can play right away without filling up long forms, just select a new username and you are set.
The Lobby is similar to most Multiplayer Poker sites I've seen, with the different games on top and you can easily find
a table to play. I went online Monday night at 10:30 pm EST time and there were a lot of people available to play. Especially
the Hold'em tables were pretty packed. I saw pots starting from $20-$30 and up to over $2000 in some tables.
There is a total of 6 Poker variations at Pacific Poker:
Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo (8 or Better) and 1 on 1 game.
The software also offers a History screen where you can see all your games, hands etc.
Table Limits start from 5c and can go up to $40. On the Pacific Poker website there is a very clear explanation of betting
rules and its enough to get you started. There is also a Poker School for starters with rules and basic startegies for the
Poker Games. I didn't see any Tournaments running on the website or the software itself. There is a List with the Top Players
called "Showdown Survivor" too.
Multiplayer Poker is the Big Thing right now on the internet and I think that Pacific Poker is a good place to start.
Especially if you are new to all this and still learning the game like myself.
